The word "Forward" appears in large green font on screen

#1 Post by cweydeveld » Tue Jan 12, 2010 2:20 pm

Yesterday while working on my R51 Thinkpad with Windows XP the word "Forward" appeared on the lower right portion of my screen. It is there in large green font (approximately a 48 font). Now things are "weird" with the operation of the Thinkpad. For example, I can't send or receive e-mail messages from Outlook, the Start Menu just flashes quickly when I click on the Start tab, etc... The only thing I remember doing differently before the problem occurred was to move an external keyboard off to the side so I had desk space to write. Upon moving the keyboard back the problem occurred. Any ideas?

I got out a bottle of "Gas Duster" and "Endust" and gave the keyboard a thorough (and much needed) cleaning. The "Forward" message disappeared and the machine is working again without issue. THANKS!
