Gamerz Edition --Special Version of Vista?

#1 Post by BruisedQuasar » Mon May 03, 2010 7:46 pm

Is Cyborg Gamerz Vista Ultimate a special edition of Ultimate? It seems like it. When I searched Google, I didn't find anything that cleared this up for me. It is installed on a T60 I recently acquired. It seems to dominate the system. It has a special firewall, it has big software programs for audio. I disabled them to speed up boot & shut off an irritating (irritating to me) logo and laugh that replaces the Windoz Welcome screen.

That move shut-off audio completely. I'm reluctant to fool with this large set of software, until I know more about it. Seems to be wrapped around Vista Ultimate like a Stargate SG1 evil Go-ould lizzard in its host.

Can anyone tell me is it Vista or is it Vista hack software or what?

Thank you for the info. Can you tell me what Warez is? Can I safely uninstall all its programs or should I wait until I have a Vista or Win7 disc and just clean install?

Best to completely wipe the drive and install a legal OS.

I don't think Microsoft would name an OS 'Gamerz Edition' - quite informal for Microsoft.

+1 - install a genuine Windows XP, Vista or 7.
