Hello thinkers
I am curious if anyone else here can tell me if they had the same experience as I did with the battery lifespan with their P1 gen 1 .
as of last week, the original battery of my p1 gen 1 passed the mark of 1300 charge cycles.
I had this laptop since late December 2018.
the vantage tool says I still have 60Wh of the original capacity, which I doubt, it feels more like 40Wh, but even so, its not bad at all, not when factoring in the number of cycles. I can still count on at least 2 hours of moderate work, or 3 hours of movie streaming.
So, I'm genuinely curious, how many cycles did you people experience with your P1 gen 1? is it normal or was I really lucky?
Take a look at our

Re: P1 gen 1 battery life
just hit 1500 cycles yesterday with the original battery of my P1 gen 1
the vantage software says the battery still is in good condition and that it still has 50% of its original capacity, but I highly doubt that, the runtime would suggest that its closer to a quarter rather than half of the original capacity.
it is time for me to let it go, I will change today the original battery with a spare that I bought from lenovo.
This was by far the best battery from my entire thinkpad collection, of which I have a lot. she will be missed.

Why is my P1 Gen 7 so much better on battery? Cool, quiet, fast — but not on AC.
