I recently picked up a P53, love the thing. But oddly the middle mouse button for the trackpoint (above the touchpad) doesn't work. I like to set that button up as a control-click so it opens links in a new tab, but I can't remap it since it seems to not be sending any mouse clicks at all. It's using the Elan driver.
Any tips by chance?

Look for debris under the button preventing it from working. 2 reseat the connector to the motherboard. Service manual is always available for download.
