Battery Firmware Problem P1 Gen3

#1 Post by indidginus » Fri Apr 11, 2025 3:48 am

Hi all, I got a new p1 gen3 yesterday and am experiencing an issue in device manager whereby the battery firmware shows an exclamation mark next to it. I have tried using system update and it apparently installed the latest firmware, but after reboot same issue in device manager. I also tried lenovo bridge auto update scenario on the lenovo drivers site, and it also apparently installed the latest, but after reboot no change - still the exclamation mark. I have tried uninstalling the firmware from device manager and restarting, no change. I also tried resetting the battery via the small hole in the base of the laptop with paperclip. No change with this either. So I really don't know what to do and I very much hope somebody can help me fix this.

Honestly I would return it if you just got it yesterday.

The vendor's problems, should never become *your* problems, it's unethical for them sell something with FW issues.

Also I will add that I'm very disapointed with Lenovo's firmware quality lately.
