LOOKING FOR INTEREST IN PRE-CONFIGURED LINUX THINKPADS

#1 Post by dcranford » Mon Jul 26, 2004 2:26 pm

Hi there

I was wondering what kind of interest there is in having pre-installed linux partitions on their thinkpads?

This would include Either Red Hat Fedora, or Suse Linux, or if someone else has a better suggestion (easily maintainable and supportable)., working X-Free86 configs, Mozilla/Firefox Browser, Mozilla/Thunderbird email reader.

If there is any interest in this please let me know.

Although not the easiest to install, by far the easiest distro to maintain is Gentoo. It also works well with Thinkpads, so you might want to give it a try.
