Documentation for the active protection system ?

#1 Post by Guest » Tue Jul 27, 2004 7:17 am

I want to write a linux driver the the harddisk active protection system, but I need access to the spesifications.

This post (http://mailman.linux-thinkpad.org/piper ... 16758.html) indicates that IBM are going to release the specs.

I have tried to approach IBM for this, but I can't find anyone at IBM that knows anything about this. Any ideas ? An email address or a phone number to someone inside IBM with a clue would be nice ...

If you can find the documentation, I would love to get it and include that in my pre-configured linux builds.

I concur! APS and fan Linux drivers would be really desirable!
