thinkpad 760cd - which linux distribution/version?

I just recently picked up a used thinkpad 760cd. I was wondering which distribution and version of linux would be the best fit for the machine? Any suggestions?

option2: try the knoppix CD

You might want to try Morphix "Light GUI" on that machine.
It is a bit faster on older hardware.
