Sent a PM as well, even if I don't meet the criteria, hopefully my small contribution will be enough to move forward in my restoration project...

Hello,

I should like to remove the white-List of my X201T i7, if the tool you noted, would do. I would be glad to receive that tool.

And I might have something You might want to add: X201T recovery set Windows7, I found in the Internet, accessible without further problems..

Happy trails

It would be amazing if there was a way to send you a PM, but when I try it tells me I only just joined (May 2025) and need to be involved in the community more. I don't have anything to offer in building the community, but I do have a number of ThinkPads that I cannot use due to lack of drivers. Can anyone help me understand what I need to do to be able to send PMs?

Hi Thinkpads Community,
have some problem with Windows XP Pro SP3 that I have on CD, burned many years ago 07/2012. Today I wanted to create an ISO file for backup to have Windows safe with working key, but there is some issue and I thing that the CD has gone. I tried on Lenovo T60p and on Lenovo X61 with Docking Station and the same issue is every time. I used that CD last time in 2013., everything was fine and I get the Windows working, but time is not on my side now I ques.

Is there someone to have working Windows XP Pro SP3 to share?

Thanks in advance!

Hi norrinraddhr,
I converted your images to links to avoid stretching the page on lower resolutions.

Are you looking for specifically for a Thinkpad recovery CD which had XP SP3?

For vanilla Microsoft XP SP3 images, Massgrave.dev seems to have some of them archived. Probably Archive.org has some, too.

Hi dr_st,
if there is a possibility to get Thinkpad Recovery as ISO file it would be great. I own many IBM/Lenovo laptops with XP sticker and Keys on the backside but without Recovery CD you can't do nothing at all.

Last night I found some web sites and the Archive.org seams to be the right one, so I downloaded Win XP SP3 there. I will make a bootable USB from ISO file and try, hopefully it would work withe the keys from Archive.org as my old CD.

Archive.org
• Windows XP Professional with Service Pack 3 (x86) - CD Retail (English)

I have one Lenovo X61 that I need with Win XP for some old programs that works only on XP and I miss the old Welcome screen and Sound. :)

Sorry for the big size pictures, in future I would resize it to 600x400, thanks.

Hi there,
I know I'm supposed to contribute to this blog for a while before begging for recovery media however, I picked up 3 vintage thinkpads (770, 380ed, 755c) for $50 aud (bout 30 usd) and got 2 working.
I made ms dos floppy disks but I need the drivers for the 755c. I have looked everywhere on the internet for the past 2 weeks until I found a github page with links to places with recovery media. I noticed all the others had download links but the 755c had an ask for download link. I clicked on it and it took me to the good ol thinkpad forums. I never made an account as i never really wrote anything but I did use the forums for troubleshooting the other thinkpads. So here I am, asking for the ibm thinkpad 755c recovery disk or hdd image, anything really. I'm sorry for not following the rules and not contributing to this blog but I hope you understand.
Thanks.
Tom

Greetings and Salutations!

I must give great thanks to you for your effort in archiving this data.

I'm unable to send PMs yet so I'm posting here.

Would you be able to provide me with the Recovery Media for the IBM ThinkPad 570e running Windows 2000?

Thanks again.
