First you need to understand what your are doing ... visit http://wiki.osx86project.org/ to understand what EFI, DSDT, Bootloader, Kext, Repair Permissions, Kextcache ... mean !

You will also find feedback of installation on T60 on this website.

There are many ways to install Snow :

with USB Key and an Retail Snow Leopard DVD : [GUIDE] 4 n00bs with laptops!
with a Blank CD/DVD and a Retail DVD : iBoot + MultiBeast: Install Mac OS X on any Intel-based PC
with a USB Key and a modified distribution : iPortable Snow OSx86 10.6.2
with another distribution
...

You have to find out the link between your hardware and the different steps of the installation (which kext and why : for my video card, my audio, for restart ...and also where : in E/E or S/L/E/)

You can read carefully Silencer's post on DSDT patching (he also have a T60 and he provides all required kext in this thread ...).

You can also read my guides for Leopard (outdated but it was my first attempt) and for Snow Leopard (up to date) ...

There are many websites about OSX86 : Insanelymac, Infinitemac, ProjectOSX, VoodooProject, myHack, Kext.com ... and of course GOOGLE ...
The answer of any of your question can be found in one of them ...

But you will see, this will be quite easy ...
