strange...i have had the same problem. i have a 2378-FVU and a 2379-DXU and when i received them i charged them immediately for a full 12 hours. for some unknown reason, when i opened them for for the first time, they both showed 98% battery life! after the next charge, they were up to 100%. what can explain this phenomenon?

Yes.

If the battery was fully charged (and batteries slowly discharge on their own over time) then the battery won't recharge until it drops below 95%. This is a built in feature of these smart batteries to extend the life of the battery by preventing overcharges.

I'd say don't worry about it and when the charge drops below 95%, it'll start recharging and will go to the 100%.

That seems strange they'd ship with nearly a full charge. I thought batteries these days are stored and ship at about 40% charge, which is supposedly the optimal charge level to leave if you don't plan to use the battery for an extended amount of time.

These are probably very recently made batteries, and with the speed that the T4* are selling at the present time, they've not had time to drop to 40% since they were charged "at birth" as it were...

ok cool, everything is working fine with it, Access Connections was giving me trouble at first but now its working fine. Im very happy with the overall quality of the laptop, i havent experienced any of the issues other people hav e had with them except for the slight flexing of the keyboard near the arrow keys and even then its minor. theres only one stuck pixel but its at the bottom left corner so its nowhere that ill really notice it. Anyone who ordered the 3VU from Bill is going to be VERY pleased with it!
