Intel E6550 on thinkcentre m52

Hello.

I just wanted to ask: Can i replace my Intel Pentium 4HT 630 CPU with Intel E6550 (core 2 duo)?

Mother board: Chipset Intel i915P/i915G
Southbridge Intel 82801FB (ICH6)
LPCIO ITE IT8712
CPU Socket LGA775

Asking u because i allready replace it but it kinda' crashed. Turned on PC and it just turned all coolers 2x-4x faster and thats it, nothing happening on monitor.
