X1 + LED Cinema Displays?

#1 Post by Math_P » Sun Feb 12, 2012 6:25 am

Hi,

Is the X1 personally known to anyone to be compatible with Apple LED Cinema Display (Mini DP, 24", non-thunderbolt)? The X301 using Circuit Assembly DisplayPort -> Mini DisplayPort adapter cable failed to work (recognized properly but went flickering a few seconds later). This is supposed to be related to some proprietary voltage issues of Apple LCD, due to which adapters and sometimes even extension cables are no good with it.

X1 obviously requires no adapter for Apple LCD, yet would be very grateful if someone let know that has them both working with one another or not.

Please feel free to report compatibility of other Thinkpads with Apple monitors in this topic, as resources on this matter are limited & hard to find.

I apologize - I do not have an answer to this question- but here are some other places where you could ask and/or search for the answer (hopefully this is allowed)

Notebook review forums:

lenovo/ibm forum: http://forum.notebookreview.com/lenovo-ibm/

forum for x1 questions: http://forum.notebookreview.com/thinkpa ... 120e-sl-l/

thinkpad x1 thread: http://forum.notebookreview.com/thinkpa ... ad-x1.html

lenovo community forums:

hope this helps! I am an x1 owner and that is where I have done most of my research
