Hi guys,
I'd like to know your power consumption with a X200t and and the conditions under which you get this consumption.
So let's go.

Did they change something on Ubuntu or just did a clean default install?

@bugmn
You could try this script that I put together for my X200s that I've uploaded here:
http://sprunge.us/eQWQ?bash
Please be sure to read through it and modify the script to your choosing and OS as I run Arch Linux on my X200s.
Hope it helps.

i used to get around 6.5~8W under server 2008 R2 with an LED panel at #6 brightness, 2.13GHz SL9600, 8GB, and an intel X25-M SSD. it would last 3.5~4 hours on the small battery.

So here comes my result with "Power Source Optimized" plan and brightness level of 9 on Windows 7 64Bit.
What do you think?
I have only a normal hard drive, no SSD. Is that the reason for the relatively high consumption?

what are your exact system specs? you've only told us you have an X200T with no other details. if you have a CCFL display, mechanical hard drive, two memory modules, bluetooth, and display brightness on 9 then you're right in line with where you should be.

Hi Erik,
How do I know about the display type?
Mechanical hard drives: Yes, at least it's no SSD.
Two memory modules: Yes, with 8GB together.
Bluetooth: Turned off.

Check if powermanager is not using much CPU when running. I had problem on my x220 tablet when I started lenovo power manager to check current consumption, CPU was utilized at ~10% so it consumed more battery as well.
Btw for showing battery status (voltage, power, current) I use small application BatteryInfo (
http://www.freewarefiles.com/notebook-b ... 18677.html) because it starts instantly. It runs fine on Win 7 x64, just set compatibility to win XP.
