T430 replacement screen without screen door effect

Good day ladies and gentlemen

Yesterday I purchased a t430 and it came with a HD+ screen. I noticed that the screen has a slight screen door effect. It's noticeable at a certain distance.

HWinfo identified my display panel:

Monitor Name: Lenovo B140R102 V1

Monitor Name (Manuf): LP140WD2-TLD2

If I would replace the screen, how much more improvement can I get out of it? I really get annoyed by the slight screen door effect. The current panel is a LG panel.

How are the samsung panels and the auo panels? Which T430 HD+ panel is the best panel?

Could someone please give me the model numbers of those panels?

What you have is the LG Philips panel. From what I've gathered regarding T430 HD+ screens, the LG appears to be better than the Samsung, and the Samsung better than the AUO (AU Optronics). Of course, every person perceives (and judges) differently.

I doubt that you would feel significantly better by replacing the screen. Instead, it may be helpful to adjust gamma to 0.9 and contrast to 55%: the screen may appear less dull and colors more vivid.

Welcome to the forum. I have a T420 with an AUO LCD. You likely have much less of the screen door effect than I do. You, sad to say, already won the 'lottery' with the LCD that you have...
