Well, My question really is I spent $785.00 on this laptop before taxes. I want to know if this is worth it? I still have the option of cancelling the order. Any advice and insight will be greatly appreciated. Thanks!

My opinion is that it is definitely worth it! You got the 1600x900 screen, which would be the most important option to me. The Intel 6250 card is a good choice as well.

Bumping up the RAM is very easy and cheap to do compared to ordering it with more RAM. You could also consider upgrading the HDD to an SSD later on. The prices on those have been dropping like a rock lately.

You made a good choice if you are looking for a solid, dependable, and powerful laptop for work/general use.
