Between Thinkpad E330 and L430

Hi thinkpadders,

I'm planning to buy Thinkpad L430 probably at this midyear or near end of year. I will use it mainly for software development works. The reason I choose L430, because I don't have budget to buy T or X series. Also, I'm not interested in old model too. My minimal requirement is they must have intel core ivy bridge processor.

After some thought, I think it would be nice if I can have a lightweight thinkpad. Unfortunately, the best candidates X230, T430u and T430s are out of my budget. Then I found E330 (yeah it's the Edge series), but it's a lightweight thinkpad with cheap price. The E330 in my country came with two CPU options: i3-3110M and i5-3210M.

Anyone here ever used E330, please share a bit of review. Do you guys think it's worthed to take E330 than L430?

By the end of the year, the L431 or whatever they'll call it will be out. Maybe you can get some better pricing on the older X or T models by then. I've never seen the E330 as it's not sold in the US.

Or maybe I should waiting for E331 (not sure if lenovo will release it), although I'm a bit worried about the new fully clickpad style.


If they ever come down with the low price, between X230, T430u, and T430s, which one would you pick?
Each has their own pros and cons, but I'm inclining to T430s, although it doesn't has thinner body like the other twos but it has better display resolution (1600x900). The 6-cell battery life is also disappointing although the bay battery could help.
