45W or 65W power adapter for T440s
45W or 65W power adapter for T440s
Which is the correct power adapter for the T440s....45W or 65W adapter that Lenovo is selling under the accessories section? The websites pulls up both adapters for the T440s. The 45W adapter output is 20 volts, 2.25 amps and the 65W adapter is 20 volts and 3.25 amps. Is one adapter more recommended over the other? Are their pros or cons to either? Does one charge faster but reduces the battery life?

I think you will find more folks there that are willing to engage in more in depth conversations about the later models.

Re: 45W or 65W power adapter for T440s
I think there are two because outside of US/Canada, the T440s can be configured with dedicated graphics. I ordered such a model here in Germany and they will ship a 65W adapter with it. I remeber seeing somewhere that models with just the integrated GPU ship with a 45W adapter.

Re: 45W or 65W power adapter for T440s
Hmm that would make sense. Well I'm using both now (the 45w and 64w) and both work fine. I guess the 65w charges faster.
Re: 45W or 65W power adapter for T440s
I think with the 65W adapter you can make the cpu work in Turbo mode, WITHOUT battery attached.
