Lost my mind but here's an idea for new HW+old keyboard
Lost my mind but here's an idea for new HW+old keyboard
Take a T60. Remove the bezel. Remove the LCD. In the empty space add a Surface Pro 3
How mad is that?

You're not nearly mad enough.
The proper way to do this is to gut the (upcoming) Surface Pro 3 docking station, put the docking connector in the lid along with some physical support you fabricate yourself so you can dock the SP3 securely in the screen, put the circuit boards in the base, wire all ports to the sides of the base, make a charger circuit for the ThinkPad battery so that it charges the SP3 when docked, and then connect the keyboard, touchpad, hard drive and ultrabay to the SP3.

Why is my P1 Gen 7 so much better on battery? Cool, quiet, fast — but not on AC.
