X1 Carbon 2014: Does the Fn key activate directly? FnLock?

Hi,

So now the Function key is on the top-left graphics-based keyboard.


* Is there a FnLock function for making the F1-F12 keys available by default as on a standard PC keyboard?


* I got a rough impression from some review videos out there, that it takes a Long time like 1 second for the Function key to actually be pressed, as soon as you pressed it - is this true or does it activate Immediately?

This would be relevant to press the Insert key for instance - if it takes a second to activate then pressing Insert would take a second.
