W530 - keys shiny after 5 months of use
Is it normal keys starting to wear off after 5 months of use? I use my W530 10-16 hours per day. My keys are starting to become very shiny. Specially the 'S', 'C' key and 'Spacebar'. I am really suprised it started happening this fast. My W530 is overall in a mint condition, except for the keys that start to wear out already.

Blame penny-pinching Lenovo!
They were already skimping on the number of keys on the T/W/X_430 models, and I bet they skimped even more on the quality...
Not to mention the abominable design...

@jonas,
may I ask you, does your W530 have a backlight-keyboard or not?
From my experince, there are some keyboards that may wear down a bit faster than others, depends on the manufacturer and if its a backlight-keyboard or not...

This has nothing to do with "penny-piniching"...just for the record, the old "classic" keyboard (Tx20 line) gets much faster shiny than any other keyboard I have used. The keyboard of my T440s holds much better against the wear and tear.RealBlackStuff wrote:Blame penny-pinching Lenovo!

The backlit keyboard like mentioned above gets shiny in what appears to be only days.
The non-backlit keyboard gets shiny in what I considered to be a normal amount of time.
