t42 gaming question

does anybody know if "Star Wars Knights of the Old Republic Part I" would run smoothly on a 23739xu T42 with a ati mobility radeon 9600 radeon video card and a 1gb of ram?

if not, any recommendations on some good rpg's that would play smoothly on this T42 system?

It will run very fast and smooth, but the game is buggy as hell, will crash constantly on ANY laptop, and can be a serious PITA to just launch (takes six or seven tries to launch without crashing.

Also, the "Grove" sequence on Dantoine has bad programming and will slow your computer to a jittering creep, though everywhere else the game is cinematic smooth.

i ended up buying the game and have been playing it for the past few days. i got up to the grove sequence and it is really lagging just like you mentioned. is there any solution to this. should i just try to bare through this level and after i leave the grove everything should run smooth again?

i feel like i hit a roadblock.
