T430 cooldown cpu attempt

#1 Post by seegath » Wed Jun 03, 2015 5:51 pm

I'm trying to cool down my cpu, and I was thinking to put CoolLaboratory Liquid Pro on it (thermalpaste).
Is there anyone with some experince?
Would not like to do some damage to my notebook.

Thanks in advance

Just took a quick look at it, and it seems that it cannot be used on aluminum. T430 heatsinks seem to be made out of a mixture of aluminum and copper, correct me if I am wrong, so it probably won't be a very good idea. I personally use Tuniq tx-4 and it works wonders for low temps. T61 with T9500 + intel gpu idles at 31C.

Thank you for answer.
You are right, this paste can not be used on alu based coolers, but I'm not sure that in t430 cooler and heat sink is aluminium?

Just in case, will try some other paste.

Thanks for the tip
