Can the 15.4 widescreen t61 use the Middleton BIOS update?

Hello I just bought a T61 off eBay I'm pretty sure it's a 15.4 inch because the audio ports are on the left correct? Maybe someone with more experience can help me on this. My main question today is can i update the bios to the Middleton BIOS I have not received my T61 yet I was just trying to prepare ahead of time

Middleton works on any of the T61 models. I have a wide screen T61 15.4" coming in the mail myself. My current T61 is a 14.1" is a wide screen as well.

You'll want this Middleton BIOS: http://www.mediafire.com/file/f9w4kv0k3 ... -1.08).rar

If you want to use the .ISO, you'll also need a new CD/DVD drive... (yours is bad)

ok thanks but if I'm not mistaken aren't the 14.1 widescreen T61 audio ports on the front?

Yes, but that's a 14.1" 4:3 screen.

There is a number of compatible 14.1" panels with 1400x1050 resolution, and that is what I would put there. I don't know exact part numbers, but any 14.1" screen which ever was on a T60/T61 will work.

There are (almost) no other possible screen upgrades. It's either 1024x768 or 1400x1050 in this screen size. There were some 1600x1200 14.1" panels manufactured at some point. They are very rare, and I'm not sure how compatible they are.

I would suggest doing the .iso Middleton bios upgrade for you T61.

one more question I also have a X61 tablet with a working dvd drive could that fit in my T61?
