Advice on purhasing a T42 2373CVG

Hi!

I am about to become a Thinkpad owner and are finalizing the order but I thought I ask you guys about a few issues.

- What is the difference between the T42 2373CVG and the 2373CYU? Is it actually the same machine with different part number??

- To my understanding the Radeon M 9600 is among the best gaming can take a laptop today. Anyone with experience with this maskin with for example Far Cry or is that too much to ask?
I know the Alienware maskin is a better gamers choice but this laptop is primarily not for gaming

- In terms of general performance does anyone have experience with additional RAM from the standard 1Gb to 1,5 or 2Gb.

CVG should have a DVD/CDRW
CYU should have a DVD writer
