As far as I can find, I can't add memory to this configuration. If I am in error, please advise.
It is a decent priced machine still in waranty, but 4GB is not sufficient with onboard video, etc.

As X1 Carbon RAM is soldered onto motherboard, user cannot upgrade (increase) RAM, so you are stuck with your 4 GB RAM should you do decide to buy this particular model.
Shortly after X1C4 came out in Feb 2016, the X1C3 models were neutered with only low specs (low memory, low CPU, smaller SSD).

But you can also get those with 8GB soldered RAM.
And there is a super option of 14" WQHD IPS screens if you are so inclined, otherwise they have FHD.
