Hi folks!
I know I'm not the only one who's got old Thinkpad batteries sitting around and either wants to reset the cycle count or replace the cells and do a factory reset. Usually this is stymied by the fast-flashing orange light, indicating pack failure of various sorts.
A full license of BE2Works costs $200 plus an I2C hardware adapter (a fancy one from TI for $75 or cheaperone at $20 from the BE2Works people) for connecting to the battery chips, which in total is kind of expensive for a few packs. I'm wondering if anyone would be interested in a group buy. That way we could either store the license centrally somewhere (not sure if it's transferrable) and pass it round-robin style or have a single person with an active license reset people's batteries for them.
What do you all think?
