T41 Fan -- should I get T42 instead?

Hi - I am looking into a T41 (2379DKU) and I am concerned about this cycling fan noise I have read about. I work in a quiet room and had that problem with an older Toshiba. Is it still happening, and is it on all of them or just certain bad batches? I don't mind spending more $ to not have that problem, but I don't want an SVGA screen - I want a 14.1" screen with 1024 x 768. So I don't think a "P" would work...
I want a/b/g wireless, 512 RAM and 40 GB hard drive.
I am using this for business (up to 10 hours a day) email, internet, and word processing. No games. Thanks for any feedback.

Other laptops seem to have other issues- Dell 600m I liked, but apparently gets way too hot..

Two of my friends with the D600 also complain about the heat issue. But, as we're here for thinkpads. My T42 (2378-FVU) is quiet, so quiet in fact that you need to put your ear on the case to hear anything. I'd say get the T42 for the quietness and the fact that it has the newer processor.
