FlexView (quote from Tomshardware.com): "The incredible thing about this FlexView technology is its 170º horizontal viewing angle. This allows the user to see the panel at almost any horizontal angle, which makes the new ThinkPad superior in presentation situations, where a wide-angle display is a big advantage."

flexview screens are brighter than non-flexview screens. flexview also has a wider view angle. that's pretty much it.
15" is bigger than 14"
the higher the resolution (1600x1200 > 1400x1050 > 1024x768) the more pixels there are. the more pixels there are, the smaller they must be to fit. the smaller they are, the sharper the image will be and text will be downsized. you can make the text bigger manually through windows.
