Harry Potter and the Half-Blood Prince

I am an unabashed Harry Potter fan, so I was at Barnes and Noble at Midnight to get my copy of the Half-Blood Prince. I am also a quick reader, and I managed to finish the book by about 18:30 EDT.

Anyone else read it yet? I am still a bit shocked at the amount of violence... especially considering that the HP series is a children's book. I suppose it's no worse than what we see on the news everyday, and in video games, but I am still shocked. I would have second thoughts about reading this book to a 4 or 5 year old child, although some kids can take this stuff better than others.

I know that at 4 or 5, I would have been sleeping with the lights on after reading the last chapters

Still, I thought it was a good and entertaining read, and $20 well spent

K. Eng, where are you from in Penna. I grew up in a little town called Souderton, about 35 NW of Philadelphia. Moved to Tucson in '92 to get away from cold, damp weather which aggrevated my arthritis. Saw your posts before and just wandered where you hail from.

I'm from Downingtown, which is about an hour away from Philadelphia by regional rail or car. I would guess 50-55km slightly northwest of the city.
