Difference between Lenovo Vanatge and Lenovo Vantage Service?

I have two apps that can be uninstalled:

Lenovo Vantage and Lenovo Vantage Service

Can someone tell me exactly what the difference is between these two? What does each enable, disable?

I would just as soon uninstall both but I want to retain Power Manager and the battery gauge icon, Hotkeys and the Microphone Mute. Is this possible? It seems it might be as it appears those three are separate services or or apps.

Would appreciate a little help with this.
