Compatible wwan card for T400 (US)

I am trying to determine which wwan cards are compatible with the T400 (librebooted, so no white-list issue)
Can I use any mini pcie wwan card?

I have found the EM7345, but its listing usually mention later versions of Thinkpad. I am hoping this is just a white list issue, and not a hardware compatibility issue.

Any advice or info would be greatly appreciated.

By the way, I have already confirmed that my Thinkpad does have the wwan antenna installed in the screen/lid assembly.

It lists the Qualcomm UNDP1, FRU 42T0961 or Ericsson F3507g (43Y6537) as the ones used. Both of those WWAN cards are 3G only, and 3G is basically dead in the US at this point. So there's not much point in getting one of those.

Without the whitelist you should be able to use anything mini-PCIE.
