Thinkpad T61 hinges interchangeability

Hello, my T61 14'1 4:3 screen hinge recently broke, (metal part snapped so there's no way to fix it) I have a spare 14'1 widescreen T61 from which I could take the hinges out. I'm yet to dissasemble the screens of both laptops since I'm waiting for screwdriver set to arrive. There was similiar topic a while back, but it hasn't answered my question. Should I be able to swap the hinges from widescreen model, or should I order appropriate hinges in advance?

I am almost certain you can't do that, and you need to order the exact same type of hinge for your specific model, but hopefully others will chime in too to confirm it.

Just checked some photos, and they're definitely different, thank for the help though.

Now, I'm kinda curious, because R61 and standard T61 hinges look identical. Don't know if they are interchangeable though.

You can consider swapping to an entire T60 14" lid, they're more commonplace and a simpler and better design.
