New to this forum and was looking in the "Drivers" area to get drivers for my newly acquired X230T but there doesn't seem to be any there. Not even a listing for the X230. Am I missing something? Blind maybe?
Looking forward to using this new toy which I recently got off eBay for a measly US$90. Very clean with only minor damage. Came with a good battery, AC brick, and new Lenovo soft carrying case (P/N 0A33883). Said case is made specifically for the X220/X230 tablet/laptop and cost $50 by itself. It gives you access to the laptop even if it's in tablet mode while still being protected in the case. The machine is a type 3437-3KU which means it has an i7-3520M CPU, 4gb RAM, 128gb SSD, MultiTouch screen, and backlit keyboard. Only thing missing is the pen/stylus, which I ordered off eBay, along with a new palm rest.
I've already upgraded the RAM to 16gb and am looking for an Intel 480gb SSD. I loaded the stock 128gb SSD with Windows 7 Ultimate 64 bit and just downloaded all (I hope) of the drivers I need from the Lenovo website. I may upgrade the Wi-Fi card too, if the stock one proves to be too slow. I'm hoping it'll fit into the Ultrabase Series 3 I ordered for my X61T, but I kind of doubt it will.

Re: X230T Drivers?
At one point Lenovo considered removing all the "EOL" system drivers from its website. They eventually went back on the initiative, and put them on an "EOL" portal instead, but in the meanwhile, enthusiasts on this forum backed up all the drivers onto the local server.
The X230 was not part of the "EOL" products at that time, so it was not included. The drivers are still available on Lenovo's pages:

Re: X230T Drivers?
Ah, OK. Thanks.
Yeah, I eventually got all the drivers from the Lenovo site. What a pain because there are so many plus they're not named for what they do so I had to rename them so I could keep track of what I was doing. Plus there's probably an ideal order in which to install them, but I just randomly installed them.

Re: X230T Drivers?
Yes, I feel you here exactly. I got into the habit of adding the nature of the driver to the name of the file when I download it. This way I get both a meaningful name, and the original mumbo-jumbo letter combo is also part of the file name, in case I ever get a request to search for a specific driver version.babblefish wrote: ↑Tue May 13, 2025 11:01 pmAh, OK. For peripheral drivers it generally doesn't matter which order the drivers are installed on. Key components like video/audio may have some dependencies, but generally it is not as bad as it used to be in Win9x or early XP days.
I wonder if Lenovo System Update which can find and download drivers automatically is still functioning. It's been years since I used it, and never on Win10+ (I think).
