T42 work with Windows XP Professional SP2 RC2 ?

#1 Post by w0qj » Sat Jun 26, 2004 1:41 am

the (soon?) upcoming SP2 for Windows XP is known to break many programs, and heard some incompatabilities with T42's built-in security chip.

has anyone actually installed the RC2 (Release Candidiate 2) of Windows XP SP2 onto T42, and does it work properly?

ie: specific questions:
1. did you have to disable the T42's built-in security chip due to incompatablilities?

2. does SP2 RC2 work with IBM software such as Access Connections?

Works fine on my T42. Have not installed the security chip though. Everything else is so far so good.

I'm using it with pretty much no problems. I uninstalled Access Connections because it was a pain trying to connect to networks including my own. What security chip are you talking about?
