T42 at the beach (sand)

#1 Post by admsteiner » Sat Jun 26, 2004 8:51 pm

Hi,

Before I'm called crazy, I just had a question.

Does the opening on the left side of the T42 have a dust filter in place which might be useful in filtering out sand as well? I don't plan on bringing my TP to the beach, but I do live only a couple of blocks away from one and I might just get the urge...

Thanks,
Adam

Adam,

There's no filter on either the small intake vents above the red/green mic/headphone jacks or the larger exhaust vents. If you were to take the fan out and look at it, you'd see that there is nothing between the vents and the spinning fan. So I would venture to say that your fan would start making little noises kicking sand around if you were to get any in there.

Daniel.
