Website Icon?

#1 Post by Initial D » Sun Sep 04, 2005 5:26 pm

I think it would be nice for the forums of thinkpads.com to have a website icon.

EDIT: The kind of icon that shows up when you place a link in favorites or on a toolbar.

If your readers are viewing your site through Internet Explorer 5.0 or above then you can make your site stand out for them by simply creating a 16 x 16 pixel bitmap called favicon.ico (using the Visual Studio icon editor, for example) and placing this icon in your web site's root directory.
Hopefully, it's just as easy as this.

Here, just rename any of these 'favicon.ico' and drop it into your website's root directory.

http://www.dcdomain.org/images/thinkpad ... n/bird.ico
http://www.dcdomain.org/images/thinkpad ... /bird2.ico
http://www.dcdomain.org/images/thinkpad ... eather.ico

I apologize for the feather, looks crappy, but I think any of the birds will work.
