Hello,
Just wondering who the preferred UK supplier of thinkpads is for users of this forum?
I am looking to buy a Z Series 2529-EAU to replace my T43 2668-F5G but I cannot find anyone in the UK that sells them.
Also I have noticed in the Z series lineup that not a single model has a 7200rpm drive, this is simply a must have for my next laptop. Anyone know if Z series will share the same problems as latest T series when it comes to changing hard drives?
UK Suppliers & 7200rpm disk
Although the Z series uses 5400rpm drives, they are SATA, instead of the slower PATA used in the other thinkpads at the moment. A 7200rpm SATA notebook harddrive would be faster than a 7200rpm PATA, but I don't know if these drives exist yet. Since SATA is what most desktops use, when we start getting 7200rpm SATA notebook drives, the harddrive handicap of notebooks will finally be fixed.
