Yoga - Lenovo gets awards for best new Thinkpad designs
I know, I should not post it here, but most people go to this thread.
So here you are, the new SunDial PC and unfoldable Yoga Thinkpads?
Sounds like IBM, sorry Lenovo, is getting back to real innovation.
http://www.lenovo.com/news/us/en/2005/04/reddot.html
and a nice article with pictures

Interesting, btw what happened to those "Origami" T40 Thinkpads some time ago?
Anyone?

Why wouldn't thye be practical? The Yoga seems to be a next-generation X41 Tablet. The Keyboard simply comes off the sloped wedge portion and the Laptop can be folded up into a variety of shapes for use. If you want to use it on your lap, simply put it together like an X4X Tablet and use it that way; I did notice, however, that the Sundial looks alot like the New iMac G5 and...is that a holographic hemisphere they are using as a user interface?

I met someone who looks a lot like you.
She does the things you do.
But she is an IBM.

The yoga one would be nice at school where I'm always in a crappy cramped desk. I'd love to be able to have the screen farther from me and the keyboard closer without having to carry around an extra keyboard. I hope that design gets applied sometime soon.

I really looks like they do a new, better approach on the Transnote design (which had a letter suit, too), but use the X41T instead.
It would be my dream machine.
Nice black leather (ahh... the fragrance of expensive Nappa Leather) and scratch resistant.
Just imagine, unfolding this during an important meeting. Very high Executive Factor!!!

From an ergonomic point of view and where display size and a comfortable keyboard matters, I would prefer one of these instead...

Interesting design.
DKB
These are just former times design studies and thus sort of IBM prototypes which were based upon the Thinkpad T40 basis. The interesting parts here were an additional height adjustable display for more ergonomic viewing positions and a detachable and/or adjustable keyboard for more comfortable usage.
However, those design studies have never made it into production units, even they looked much promising (...is somebody from Lenovo listening here?

ThinkPad Yoga is considered as serious innovation
Heard it thru the grapavine, that Lenovo is seriously putting efforts in improving the new ThinkPads and innovating new designs.
Seems pretty much that the ThinkPad Yoga is going into production after working out the details.
This week ASUS has released the new Lamborghini notebooks with leather and the leather wireless mouse.
I am really looking forward to the Yoga as a replacement for the X41T.

Good news, that Lenovo is pushing innovation at ThinkPads.
Cheers,
