i am looking for help with this hopefully someone will be able to answer...
i have a ibm thinkpad t22:

128mb ram
20gb hd
xp pro

i just got sticks of 256mb..

i put them in the memory slot. start the t22 up. and when i get to the memory check in dos it only show 128mb ram. and then xp tries to start and ask to start with safe mode and normal.. i try both and the nothing happens just keeps restarting...

My guess is you are using high density ram (8 components), rather than (the correct) low density ram (16 components).
