how long before you get the noise of the fan?

#1 Post by leif » Thu Feb 02, 2006 7:24 am

Hi, guys

I wonder the answer for the question as the subject mentioned.
I just bought my T43 more than one week and it seems that there is no problem with the fan such as the noise. Will this problem happen several days later?

Thanks you all.

Welcome to the Thinkpad Forums :)

Well, that is the thing about the fan noise. Some T43s exhibit that behavior and some don't; mine doesn't have the fan noise that seems to be the subject in question. Also, quite a few Thinkpads, at some point or another, have had minor issues with fan noise; including the T4X Series of Thinkpads.

If the fan noise is to your satisfaction for a few days, then I would go so far as to say that your Thinkpad doesn't, and most likely wouldn't, exhibit the fan-always-on problem at all. :)

She does the things you do.
But she is an IBM.

Thank you. Christ.

Before this T43 I used a HP B3810AP which has a big noise made from the fan, so the noise of this T43 is not that much annoying, at least to me.

But the always-on problem seems has happened on my machine since I began to mind the fan's going. Once it begin to work it won't be off until I turned off my laptop.

Can you get my mind? I'm sorry that my English is not so good. But I have to learn it anytime because I intend to take the postgraduate courses in AU this summer.
