What's CPU is true on my T23

#1 Post by qtech2020 » Wed Feb 15, 2006 12:45 am

Hi all,

I have a question that one of you could explain. In my SYSTEM PROPERIES, 'General' tab. I get two CPU 1200MHz and one for 799MHz RAM 512 , so what is the 799 means?

Thanks.

EDIT: Links only, see "can I post images" in the FAQ's :)

Go to control panel> Power Options>Power schemes (Set the power schemes to 'always' on or High Performance if you have).

1200Mhz is your cpu running at full throttle
799=800Mhz is your cpu running on lowered throttle.

the above poster has got the solution for you.

Actually, the better solution would be to leave it as it is. It will clock up automatically when needed and clock down automatically when possible.

Also, I don't know about T23s, but XP sometimes reports the speed of T22 CPUs incorrectly, just go with what the bios says it is.

Download a program called CPUZ and you can watch the clock speed jump up and down as the system needs it.
