ThinkPad Software Installer Problem

I just got my brand new R51 thinkpad and downloaded the software installer from IBM website, but everytime im downloading updates through it, the software installer just freezes after downloading a few updates. Please help!

Thank you for your help, krma. Even though i just installed the latest version of the Software Installer, i found the best way to download updates is to download one update at a time without causing any freeze ups. The moment i try to update more than one, it freezes!
