BSOD: "stop c000021a {fatal system error}"

#1 Post by K. Eng » Fri Jul 23, 2004 2:19 pm

Got this error today:

stop c000021a {fatal system error} the windows logon process system process terminated unexpectedly with status of 0xc0000005. The System has shut down.

This error has occured once before I think - then and today it seemed to happen when I was moving my trackpoint cursor around. I am running the latest ultranav drivers from the T40 Matrix (7.5.17.10).

I ran PCDoctor and my system board checks out. I think I'm having a driver problem. Any suggestions? Tried google but not much luck.

The error message is something like this? http://support.microsoft.com/default.aspx?kbid=330303

Do you have all the windows fixes installed?

Yes, that is the error I got. But it didn't occur in the scenario that MSFT has listed in that link. I have all the latest patches installed.
