Best Wifi Mini-PCI card for T20?

#1 Post by Highwayman » Sun Mar 26, 2006 6:00 pm

I'm looking for a b/g wifi mini-pci card to go in my T20 to replace the pcmcia wifi I'm currently using. Any success stories out there? I'd like to install a wifi antenna either in the display lid or keyboard area.

If you are willing to invest the time and effort to add an internal antenna, you might want to give the Atheros card a try. I have the AR5001X+ in my T23 and it works great. It was working with an old Linksys 802.11b AP at first then I recently upgraded to one of the SuperG APs and it connected to it right away. I currently use the D-Link DI-624 which also uses the Atheros chips so it connects at the 108Mps speed.
