Wireless connection software

#1 Post by krosenstein » Wed Jul 28, 2004 11:10 am

1. I've been using Access Connection to manage my wireless adapter on my T41 (2373-9FU). I'm using WPA encryption. One annoyance is that it will not automatically connect to my access point on boot-up. Is there some way to make this happen?

2. What is the advantage in using Access Connection?

3. Would there be any problems with chucking Access Connection and using WinXP to manage the wireless connection?

We kill off the Access Connection stuff and just let Windows XP handle the connections.

The advantage to the IBM stuff is you can have mult profiles for your card but it also can get in the way a lot.

1. Download the latest Access Connections and upgrade your wifi firmware. I had the same problem but now it workd fine.

2. Multiple profiles and automatic switching between them according to rules you set.

3. I don't use XP so can't help you with that.
