T6x - Models & Battery Life
I've search this forum and have not found an all encompassing thread that lists model and battery life.
I am thinking about a T6x and battery life (vs GPU) is important to me.
Would you please fill in the following information?
1. Model#
2. Screen size and resolution
3. GPU chip
4. Battery (6 or 9 cell)
5. Battery life
6. Any special settings (ex. brightness level)?
Thank you.

I've got the express 15" T60p (2623DDU) and it comes with a 9 cell Panasonic...at least mine did.
EDIT: Forgot to answer poster, sorry!
1. Model 2623DDU
2. Screen 15" IPS UXGA
3. GPU ATI FireGL V5200
4. Battery 9 cell Panasonic
5. Batt life 3 hours
6. Full LCD brightness and ALL devices in Device Manager with Power Management options OFF (all devices always on). Basically when I unplug NOTHING changes except current begings depleting the batt. I can run 4 hours with the 12 cell config (9 cell + 3 cell ultrabay).
T60p 2623DDU / 2GB DDR2 / Dual PCIe Gigabit NICs! (OB & ExpressCard) / CardBus 5-in1 / 3, 6 & 9 cell batts / travel 65W & dual 90W AC adapters / Kensington Pilot Mini BT Mouse
802 what?!? I Use EVDO every day and it rocks, man!

creed, there are probably 2 or more suppliers for the 9-cell batteries. You will have to order the machine first, and when they allocate a serial number, you can look that up on the parts lookup page.
Have a look at the FAQ.

Re: T6x - Models & Battery Life
I'm running a 6 cell @ 4 hours with everything at full performance including screen brightness. Just as though it was plugged in.Edward wrote: I am thinking about a T6x and battery life (vs GPU) is important to me.
Then when I ad the ultrabay battery I get between 9-10 hrs.
See below for the specs of my T60.

Thanks to everyone that has replied so far.
I had to turn my X41 back to my former employer yesterday and have placed an order for a T60 2623-D4U. My new employer will give me a Latitude to use (hope its the new D620) but its time to get my own personal laptop.
Decided to purchase it from www.costcentral.com. It comes with a 6 cell so I purchased an additional 9 cell and will probably ebay the 6 cell (I hate how you can't swap a simple accessory like that).
The 2623-D4U comes with a 14.1" 1400 x 1050, video of x1300. I'll post the battery life with the 9 cell as soon as I get it.

Battery
I see someone says they get 9-10 hours of life out of their t60. They are the only person i see getting this type of time. Ihave a t60p and with 2 batteries get 5-6.

Re: Battery
When asking a question like this you will always get someone who will "stretch" the truth. On both my T43p and T60p 5-6 hours is not uncommon. MUCH depends on your settings and habits but 5-6 hours is not hard to get.stephenaron wrote:I see someone says they get 9-10 hours of life out of their t60. This is exactly the same frustrating experience I had with CostCentral. I even called to place my order. The person who took it said they had the computer in stock. Late the next day I get a confirmation email saying the computer would be shipped in 2-3 weeks!!!Edward wrote:Quick update, costcentral.com inventory is dubious.
So I went to Euclid Computers, the web site said they had it, I called in and they indeed had it in stock. I received it the next day!
They were very courteous and I saved sales tax as well.

Woo hoo! Finally got it and (1) no dead/stuck pixels (2) fan is on all the time but minimal steady hum.
1. 1953 D6U
2. 14.1" XGA
3. GMA 950
4. 6 cell
5. about 4:40+ (initial, will update after a little real world use and optimization)
6. Thinkpad max battery life w/4 of 7 brightness
A little disappointed about how thick it is. Side by side with the Latitude D610, there's little difference. I think the T4x series is more thin.
