Thinkpad protection limitations?

#1 Post by anz2007 » Tue Jun 13, 2006 11:24 pm

Does anyone know if there is a maximum number of incidents that can be claimed under thinkpad protection? I had a drop occur (with a broken LCD) earlier this year, about three months ago, and now some soda was spilled on the keyboard, wiping out the electrical system.
will this be fixed without a problem?

I'm pretty sure there's no limitation on the amount of incidents you can file with warranty in general. I've never seen ANYONE have any problems with IBM on incident proximity.

I'd call Lenovo and ask about their policy on the incidents per time frame though. If you're paranoid dont hint that its actually a case that's specific to your warranty. Just hint around at what the details of their policy are.

Cheers
