Thought I'd share some of my research on the subject of this laptop in the hopes that we can learn more about it and get on with the important business of pushing it as hard and as far as possible.
The Lenovo C100 is actually made by one of the leading Taiwanese manufacturers; Compal - http://www.compal.com/index_En.htm
A little about them here - http://forum.notebookreview.com/showthread.php?t=60041
If you purchase your C100 directly from them its called a IAL55 - http://www.marasst.com/product-1-IAL55.htm
But you could also purchase it from the UK education hardware provider RM here - http://www.rm.com/Secondary/Products/Pr ... f=PD499010
and then its called an nBook 4100...
Here's Compal's datasheet on the IAL55 http://www.bizcom-us.com/support/IAL55/ ... erSpec.pdf
And here is Compal's driver and BIOS section - http://www.compal.com/asp/driver_dnd/index.htm
This is their latest version of the BIOS - I haven't been brave enough to try it yet...
http://www.compal.com/Download/NB/AL55/ ... elease.zip
Thats all for now, I'll update with any new information.
