Want the fn button to work as a ctrl button too.

Hi there!

I have been using mathtype (a program to write equations in MS word) for about 4 years now, and I have been writing it on a Toshiba laptop. But now I have switched to a IBM, where the ctrl button and the fn button have switched places. And I cant seem to get used to this reversed order.
So do you guys now a program I can install so the fn button, only works as a fn button if I hit fn+F"X" button? Or I have to keep the fn pushed down for like 1,5 seconds before it "becomes" a fn button?

thanks!

Not really, the Fn key is one of the few "special" keys that can't be remapped on the keyboard or swap its functionality with the Ctrl key. You may be able to add on Ctrl functionality to it, but that is still difficult; there are some programs out there, I have one but forgot where I got it, that will do a great job of remapping keys.

By the way, any reason to not use LaTeX to typeset the equations, render them out as PDF or PS, then put them in a Word documen? :)

I met someone who looks a lot like you.
She does the things you do.
But she is an IBM.
